Does anyone Have

An S/O who is a CE or an EN???

DH kinda got messed up when he had to leave A-School early and go to a ship. He originally went to A-School to be an EM but something happened and they sent him to a ship. And now they are telling him since he didnt finish A-school he is considered "undes" Even though for almost a year hes been standing EM watches and working with them and being qualified for things that half the EMs on his ship arent qualified for yet...
So since he is "undes" he cant advance... He has turned in his papers to go back to school as a CE, we are just waiting for the final Okay for it... So is anyones S/O a CE? How long was the schooling? Do they (for the most part) enjoy it?? I've read a little about it but I figure I can get more infor through wives..
And is any of your S/Os an EN, if DH doesnt get to go back to School he wants to cross over to that...

I was an EN when I was in the Navy. As far as CE I have no idea!

Was it good? Are the advancement and stuff good? Or is it hard to advance?

Honestly....it was hard to advance! I made 3rd class right away but that was because the rate was open. It took me a long time to make 2nd class. I think if he is willing to stick with it then he will do good! I will tell you right now that whatever he plans on going for he needs to get the books for the rate and study study study!

Mine's an MM and doesn't even know what a CE is lol. I did attempt to ask though.
