I would love to hear all the stories about how you got engaged!

Mine is not anywhere close to romantic haha. We just thought it would be a good idea since he didn't want me left behind while he did the Navy Life for 4 years. We had already been together for 4 and a half years so we just tied the knot at the courthouse. When he can have some time off we'll have a big dream wedding back home! :]

Mine isn't romantic at all either! We were laying in bed and he rolled over and asked me to marry him!

Mine isn't terribly romantic either. It's kinda funny. On Valentine's Day he gave me a ring and he acted like he wanted to say something but he couldn't seem to get any words out. So I asked him if the ring meant anything. He said no. It was just a ring. He thought I would like it. Several times he acted like he was going to ask me but he stuttered and stammered and then just started babbling about whatever. I finally had enough of this and after 3 months of it, the Friday before Memorial Day, after he got off work at the bar, we were laying in bed and he started babbling again. I sat on top of him and told him to be quiet for a minute. I looked him dead in the face and said, "Will you marry me?" His answer was, "You know the answer to that." I told him that I would like to hear it. So he said, "Of course I will!"

He was afraid that I would say no. LOL!

mine isn't romantic either.
we had been talking for a while & he's finally like "what size ring do you wear?";
i came to visit him in april & we continued to talk about it.
then a few days/a week after i left, he said how happy he was that i was his fiancee;
end of romantic engagement story. :P

Lol mine wasnt romanitc either we were laying on my teddy bear which is HUGE lol. and we were kissing and he's like "will you spend the rest of your life with me?" and i said of course. then we went and looked at rings and it took him a while to get one...and when he finally did we were fighting so he practicly threw it at me. lol. but we are gonna be married two years this year and are still growing strong. lol. so not romantic at all. lol

Well.....we were laying in bed one day and he pulled me over cuz I was facing opposite him and he was like will you marry me not like now but someday? Haha. Then, he said he wanted to go get married but wouldn't because he didn't think I would marry him without a ring or him being in the military cuz I come from a military family. So, he left for boot camp and when he graduated he let me pick out my ring and when he came back from A school we got married at the court house.

he took me to the grand canyon (supposedly for my birthday) and then proposed! i totally didnt expect it because the whole time we were there he was like, "when we get back home we need to go ring shopping." what a brat huh?!? but i forgave him for tricking me once i saw the ring :)

Jason asked me right after a school, as soon as he got off the plane and stepped through the gates he got down on one knee in front of everyone, we had a whole crowd "awwwwwing" LOL

Jerry said " How soon is too soon?" and I was like " Uhhh not soon enough?" I had NO idea what he was talking about. rofl! So he starts driving faster, no clue where we're going, almost wrecks the car driving off the road onto a View Point.

Then he gets out and makes SMALL talk. I'm like....ok.... lol Then he said " Jamie I have no ring, I suck at picking jewelry out, but will you marry me?"

Of course I said yes, and we picked out a ring a few days later. Which I came home to sitting on top of a picture of my grandparents :)

Not exactly the way I'd picture him asking. But it fit us!

hehe yah everyone knew my husband was going to propose before he did. i was a little disapointed because i really wanted to call like my mom and best friend and be like, omg guess what?!?! but...they already know :(

Awww! lol.

My best friend figured it out because of the way Jerry was acting, he wasn't told. So no one else knew. We got engaged pretty quick though. So my family/friends were just like " Ohhh...already? Thats nice" or " Are you crazy?" So my telling people was no fun either :( lol

Lol thank you Rachel!!! :D After DB graduates OCS hopefully he'll get to work near me and live with me until he goes to Supply and Logistics school in GA and then hopefully I'll graduate this year and we can get H-I-T-C-H-E-D!!! haha

At least a whole 2 months :) Supply and Logistics school starts in January and April.... I believe
