JUST COURIOUS

WELL I HAVE TWO TWIN COUSINS THAT ARE MARINES, I HAVE A COUPLE OF FRIENDS IN THE MARINES, AND I KNOW A FEW FRIENDS IN THE ARMY, AND I HAVE A ALOT OF FRIENDS IN THE NAVY. WE ALL WENT TO ELEMENTRY AND JR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL TOGETHER AND ALL ARE VERY CLOSE. WELL I JUST THINK THIS IS CRAZY . MY FRIENDS THAT ARE MARINES ARE ALWAYS GIVING ME A HARD TIME ABOUT MY HUBBY BEING IN THE NAVY . WELL ONE OF MY FRIENDS THAT IS THE MARINE IS ALWAYS SAYING THAT THE NAVY IS BLL SHIT AND THAT THE MARENS ARE THE BEST. I HAVE NAVY WIFE ON MY CAR AND HE ALWAYS SAYS FOR ME TO TAKE IT OFF. I KNOW HE IS MESSING AROUND AND NOT BEING FOR REALS.NON OF MY OTHER FRIENDS IN THE ARMY OR NAVY TALK ABOUT HOW AWFUL THE NAVY IS. BUT I HAD HEARD THAT THE MARINES ARE A BRANCH FROM THE NAVY AND THEY DONT HAVE THEIR OWN SCHOOLS AN THAT THEY ARE CALLED THE BASTARD BRANCH. WHICH I THINK IS FUNNY. THE WAY I SEE IT IS THAT THEY ARE ALL PROTECTING OUR FREEDON AND FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND NO BRANCH IS BETTER THAN THE NEXT .SINCE THEY ARE ALL DOING THE SAME.MY COUSINS AT FRIST TEASED ME ABOUT IT BUT THEY RESPECT MY DH. DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW OR HAVE FAMILY OR FRIENDS FROM OTHER BRANCHES THAT ARE THE SAME WAY . I MEAN THEY ARE NOT BEING MEAN BUT JUST LIKE IN HIGH SCHOOL YOU KNOW THIS SCHO :roll: :tongue: OL IS BETTER THAN THAT SCHOOL.

My sister was a Marine and I was Navy! We used to give eachother sh** all the time! I had to work with Marines on my first ship too! They always thought that they were better than us but when it comes down to it I think every branch thinks their better than the other even though they all do that same thing..........They Protect Us!

Marines are like that when it comes to the Navy except when it comes to the Corpsman. The Corpsman of the Navy are their medics and they respect the hell out of them.

Yeah i hear stuff like this too sometimes. And Marines are a branch of Navy which i think is funny. But my dh has more Marine friends than he does navy friends... Which i find funny also. Maybe just because of the ship hes on they carry marines so i guess he gets along better or has more in common with them. Who knows? LOL

i think all the branches have a bit of a competitive side to them...which is ok because that means they have pride. but it does all come down to the fact that they are all here to protect us! my brother is in the coast guard and of course theres alot of crap talked between coasties and the navy but my hubby has always been like, my brother in law is a coastie and i dont have a problem with them and vice versa for my brother about my hubby. :) its actually pretty cute to hear them stand up for one another.

There are only two departments...Army and Navy.And from the Navy comes the Marines and Coast Guard.

So if theres anyone who should feel ashamed it should be the Marines....ask them why they need the Navy to control their branch,and without the Navy they would not exist.

If they were so amazing they would have their own Department...haha.

i was thinking the same thing if they are the shit then why are they always using the Navy for things and havingus take them every where. ut if you tell a marine that he gets all pissed and defenseive. it is like grow up. :face:

My hubby is a Marine. And it's true what the one girl says about them respecting the Corpsmen. We have a few friends that are in the Navy, and it's so funny when my hubby hangs out with them. They act like little kids. One of my best friends is in the Navy also, and I respect the hell out of her(just like any other service member). And the Army thing my hubbs sister was married to a guy in the Army and continues now to date another Army man. Lets just say that home visits and holidays are interesting specially cause my FIL is a retired Marine. BTW I love the banner too funny!

Hey... you're in Camp Pendleton and we're getting ready to PCS there in October. He's being attached to the First Marine Division.

yeah i know a few marines.. but they dont say crap to me.. Brandon is a corpsman lol...
