You need to contact housing here in Norfolk...and they will arrange the movers.Im in SC right now so I dont have my binder of all Navy Wisdom from Compass. So when I get home I'll post info and stuff.

Your husband has to step up to the plate and arrange movers and everything.

Do ask your husband if they Navy is moving you or if you are moving yourself. There are already posts heavily discussing this as far as what you need to make sure to do...such as keep every paperwork that you recieve and receipts if you are moving and not the Navy so they can reimburse you.

Also figure out what your BAH will be and if you guys will be living off base or on base.If you're on base then your husband needs to put in for base housing through Norfolk (its by FFSC on Hampton Blvd. he will know what I'm talking about...right by childcare and Navy Fed,all in that complex) Housing Office.Your husband has to have his orders with him in order to put in for housing at the next command.

Hmmmm...

I dont know.

I would suggest a couple of things.I'll look it up once I get home, try to contact FFSC in Norfolk (again just google Fleet&Family Support Center Hampton Roads),or call Military Onesource.

If I didn't have such a horrible headache I'd google the phone numbers for you, girlie.

But def contact 2 outta 3 and have them explain what that means.

Since you're not here it is so very hard to do anything. You dont have the FRG to contact...how bout the Ombudsman for his ship? What ship is he on? (you can PM this) FFSC can give you the ombudsman number or google the ship for the official website which will also have the Ombudsman info. The ombudsman might be able to explain it too.

Good luck!

Yeah lemme know...this is all stuff I would do if I was in your position. Now Im not super tight with our FRG/Ombudsmen so I'd prolly try the FFSC/Military Onesource route.Your husband should be finding out this stuff too,and letting you know.Stay on him! He needs to be doing all the footwork since he's here and you're there. If he doesn't stay ontop of things you may be missing out on something free or something costing you more. And a lot of this to is you have to research and ask questions...half the stuff I know my husband was not aware of...and Ive had to correct him on what the military offers us.
