Where did your name come from??

I was named after my mom her name is Migdalia and she goes by Mindy. They could not figure out what to name me and the hospital called and my uncle said just put Mindy.

Mary is a family name, I'm fourth generation and then we all have different middle names, mom is ellen, i am christine.

No family names here. Maybe that makes me an original gangsta?

Our family recycles names...no joke...I was named after an Aunt that was born not too long before me, her name was Karen Sue...But...we Have Donna Jane, Beverly Jane, Janice Lee, Brenda Lee, Amber Lee, Donald Dean, Owen Dean, Darrell Dean, Donnie Dean, Dustin Don, Victoria Sue, and Hannah Victoria....and actually in doing some genealogy, there was already a Hannah...and Victoria was my mom's first name. So I went crazy and named my last one Jared Sergei...Now I KNOW that one isn't recycled...lol. :)

My mom went to school with a girl named Naomi and she loved the name! I got my middle name Lee from my grandpa.......so I'm Naomi Lee!

My sister and I got a Christian Name,and an Irish name.So I got Elizabeth Shannon but I effing hate Elizabeth...so I take my middle.She got Rebecca Eileen.

I honestly couldn't tell you where my name came from, I've heard so many stories. I just know that it's french and I love it. The middle name everyone has but NOBODY spells it the way I do.

and it's not like Shantelle or Shawntelle. It's CHANtelle. I hate when people mispronounce it. And the middle name is like Renee but spelled completley original. I love my name.

I don't know how they came up with it but I hate it. Nikki Leigh. Not Nicole. Just Nikki. When I had my daughter everyone asked me if I was going to name her a family name. Let's see what I had to chose from : Erthenia, Judy, Betty, Bertha, Ruby, and Regina. I think not. LOL

Well Lizbeth...or maybe you'd like Lizard as my sister called me as a kid...

I got tired of my sister telling my niece everytime they went to the zoo that her Aunt Liz was born in the zoo....hence Lizzy the Lizard.

Then there was the whole 4 girls in elementary school named Elizabeth.

Seeeeeeee? Now do you know why I wont curse any living thing with that name?!?!?!

hahaha okkkk so my dad still calls me lizard! and as a kid it was "spillabeth" because i was pretty clumsy and spilled everything! i just thank God my mom didnt name me Jessica, which was her first choice! talk about 20 other people in the same class as you with the same name! my dad talked her out of it! yay!

well my first name is Nataly and my mom named me after the actress Natalie Wood. my middle name is Rose my mom got that from her grndma i think. there are only two people in my family with rose and that is me and my cousin's little girl she is lexi rose . but we call each other big and little rose. that is gonna be my daughter's middle name. as for NAtaly i love it no one spells is like i do there was hardly anyone with that name. the only thing is my uncles would ask me "what kind of wood dont float"? well it is nataly wood. she drowned.

My grandmother named me, and my middle name is Ann and all the girls in our family has the same middle name.

My mom was going to name me Raven but my aunt choose Brittany so thats how that happend lol
