I have a question..

We are probably moving from Maryland To Great Lakes in the next few weeks. We are going to have to move ourselves and pay for it ourselves. Does anyone know of a moving van rental company that gives military discounts? We don't have a lot of money and we're going to have to do this the cheapest way possible.

i know uhaul gave us a military discount for our storage room, but i honestly dont know about the actual moving part...you're prbly just gonna have to get on the phone and start calling everyone. good luck! i hope everything goes smoothly :)

They're available 24/7.I havent had the need to call them YET...but in something like this where a lot of "work" is involved...these people get paid to look this stuff up and ease stress.So if its helping you chose a vacuum after your husband had deployed,and you have 8 kids hanging off of your legs...they'll email/fax/mail you their list of Top Ten vacuums.(This is a true story...haha.)

These people get paid to help you in anything big and small.And they all have Masters Degrees :)

I sat through....The COMPASS class offered by the Navy.Its like Navy Spouse 101...and they told us all these stories of using Military Onesource...two of the teachers timed how many rings they pick up on too...hahahahahaha.You sit through a lot of courses on various crap,and then you hear everyone else's stories.

I think she meant COMPASS....it is offered anywhere there is a Naval base.So if you guys aren't attached to one in SC,then it'll prolly be hard.Id wait until you get to a bigger base like in San Diego or in Washington State.
