I'm gonna be an Auntie again!

I hope I'm posting this in the right topic. :scratch:

I just found out this morning that one of my older sisters is having another baby! We're not sure how far along she is yet, her appointment is for September 11. This will be her second one and it will be my 6th time being an Aunt! I have to say that I'm a bit jealous since we started trying to have a baby at the same time but I couldn't be happier for her. I'm SO excited to be an Aunt again! It's funny though because she used to say she never wanted kids and now she LOVES being pregnant and is going to keep having babies until she has a girl. I can't wait to have our own someday soon hopefully but, I wanted to share my excitement about being an Aunt again with everyone!

i wrote this on navy sweethearts, too.

sooo, my sister was bleeding and so the doctor took some blood and the test showed her to be 2 months along instead of the 2 weeks that she thought she was. then the doctor did an ultrasound. the ultrasound showed a sac but with nothing in it! so, my sister of course started asking questions. she was told it could mean the baby never developed and she miscarried OR that she may be having twins, which would explain why her hcG count is so high and she's only a couple weeks along, which would explain why there is no baby in the sac. sooo, the doctor called her friday and said that he THINKS he saw two gestational sacs on the ultrasound but that he didn't want to say for sure until they did another ultrasound today. so i called this morning to see how the ultrasound went and my mom picks up the phone and right away says, "there are twoooooo!!!!!" so, there are definitely two gestational sacs, which means fraternal twins (and yes, twins run in our family on my dad's side). the one sac definitely had the start of a baby but since the other sac is higher up, they couldn't see a baby in it. so, now i have to change my original message to, "aunt x7!." i'm super excited for her and to be an aunt again. her due date is right around my birthday so i'm contemplating flying home to see the babies for my birthday! anyway, that's the update for now!

WOW!!! Twins. Congratulations!!! That's great. Hopefully for her one of them is a girl. LOL!!!

thanks, ladies! she goes in this thursday for another ultrasound...we will see what happens!

when will she find out the sex of the twins.. or does she want to be surprised?

well, she is only 6 weeks along right now and i guess between 18-26 weeks she could find out on an ultrasound. she is probably gonna wanna know but i'm not sure, i'll have to ask her and let you know!

yeah, she wants to find out the sex of the babies.....she is a nurse at a nursing home and apparently she got punched in the stomach yesterday by a resident so she was at the ER last night. she won't find out until thur's ultrasound whether the babies are okay or not. wish us luck!

Oh my Gods!!! I'll say prayers that the babies are okay and I'm also going to light a candle for her right now. Is she okay?

Oh Rachel. I'm so terribly sorry to hear that. I'll say prayers of healing for your sister and the rest of your familly.

omg im so sorry... ill definately be praying that she gets through this okay!! Im so sorry once again!! howd she lose them, because of the punch or what?!

they're not sure. the doctors of course said it was nothing she did wrong but they recommended she wait 3 months to try and have a baby again because she had complications with her first baby....she didn't listen though. hopefully she listens this time because i hate to hear her go through that heartache all over again.


and omg, kelly!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for that phone call last night! i totally didn't expect it, you're such a sweet, caring person and i thank you very much for being such a good friend!
