WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!

That we wanted to rent in 29 Palms. The realtor called me today and told me that it's a deal. We have a 1 year lease on the place and everything will be ready for us to move in by the time that we get there. I'm soooooooo happy!!!! It's a great place!!!! It's a single family home on 2.5 acres. Huge rooms. All new tile floors and appliances. I'm sooooo excited. I even showed the pictures of the place to Riley and asked him if he liked it and if he wanted to live there and he said YES, I want to live there! He says no to everything, even when he means yes. LOL!! So he must have really liked it. hehehehehe

It's the desert. That's what 29 Palms is in the middle of. LOL!!! Our closest neighbor is 1/4 of a mile away from us. I think I'm going to LOVE it there. I'm living in Baltimore City and I HATE HATE HATE it here. Our closest neighbor is right above us and they are the noisiest F***ing people I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. That and the shootings and the sirens and the other bs that we have to live with here. There it will just be peaceful. YEA!!!!!!

I like the antique fireplace setup a whole lot! Man, what a change of climate that is from where you are right now. Just be careful of the scorpions and snakes! And congrats again!

what i want to know is....why do they have a fireplace in the desert?!?

haha, yeah, it seems pretty illogical doesn't it? but some nights get super cold...that's maybe why. or maybe they just have it for decoration?

It gets cold in the desert.

It gets cold at night during certain times of the year.

The snakes I'm not worried about unless they're poisonous. Scorpions on the other hand, I really don't feel like being stung by. LOL!!!

The climate will definately be different. We've been having bad thunderstorms on and off for the past week or so with rain and wind like a monsoon for brief periods. The fast and drastic changes in the barometric pressure have been causing me to have migranes. I won't have to worry about that out there. LOL!!!

we tried to light a fire here in the "winter" months and we had to get naked we were so hot. i would think that it would be hotter in the desert, even though you're a little further north....the forecast is always like 10 degrees warmer there. it doesn't normally get below like, 50 here in the "winter."

I just checked the almanac and last winter it got down in the twenties at night and in the low fifties during the day.

oh wow, that's crazy. i guess i'm stupid, lol
